Enlighten yourself… as often as you can

In yesterday’s Talk-to-me webinar one of the things that came up, thank you Baheej, was the idea that you need to be looking at your shortcomings, gaffes, and mistakes with kind eyes.

We all have them, but depending on your attitude towards them they mean that you are no good, they mean that you need to explain, apologize, lie, attack, avoid responsibility, or they mean that you made a blunder… no big deal.

I recommend a lighthearted approach to mistakes. I call it “play with your kaka”, whatever you can play with, you don’t hate.

Now, admittedly, I still have a few things I have done in my life I haven’t been able to play with, or bring a kind eye to… but I am working on it.

Your self-growth depends on your ability to laugh at yourself and take yourself less seriously.

Go beyond where you NORMALLY stop… Go to where the sun shines, no matter what the season is

I woke up disgruntled… (=angry, dissatisfied) almost ready to go into devastation (which is my “home page”) but it all changed as I sat down and began to write. What was going to be a rant, became a celebration.

I guess I am not stuck with, neither am invested in, nor am I resisting being someone who rants when I feel beaten, or slighted, or hurt…Most of my students either are invested (i.e. known for) or resist being angry… i.e. stuck with being angry.

Yesterday’s enlightenment is today’s pretense

Yesterday’s transformation is today’s arrogance
Yesterday’s glimpse of the truth is today’s guilty feeling
Yesterday’s enlightenment is today’s pretense

You may not be able to see it on gurus… but I can. Gurus are liars… because they share an incident in their past that doesn’t go beyond that moment…

But repeating that incident is hard… and most of the time we don’t know how it happened… like a past life memory, or any other insight. The mechanism is hidden from our view.

And then this gurus go around doing what gurus do: extrapolate from that one experience, and teach the unsuspecting millions the only way… ugh… They teach how to live, how to think, how to this and that…

And because you want what they are talking about, you fall for it… Make a decision to do it, buy it, follow it, and then it doesn’t work.

But…
How one is to make decisions in life? Decisions that work… It’s not a stupid question…

On Tithing and The Law of Attraction

Tithing is a voluntary contribution. It is a giving back where you got your spiritual nourishment, your inspiration. It is keeping the blessing in movement. It is an expression of your abundance regardless of the circumstance, so it is also a state of mind creator. It has its roots in the Jewish mitzva (commandment) of leaving the edges of a cultivated land unharvested so the poor can come and collect the food. The Jewish long sideburn is a reminder of the mitzva, and tithing has some relationship to it with the Christian twist of where to give back.

I have found that tithing is a great activator of the Law of Attraction. Especially if you give often, and with the right mindset. According to Kabbalah the right mindset is a kind of spiritual or enlightened greed, give hungry for your own growth and your own enlightenment, and not from do-gooding. do-gooding is from ego (Satan)

My specialty is the mindset (or the seed level) of spiritual growth.

Republished: There Are 3 Categories Of Gurus Mirrored In The Three Types Of Seekers. Locate yourself by identifying your guru’s type. Clarity is power!

There are three categories of gurus and three types of seekers:

Guru Category 1. The Hopeful Path: Naive, pliable, hopeful. Hoping that what you are doing is going to take you out of the misery: having feelings, and a constant battle inside between the aspects of a human being, each pulling in a different direction. You really really really want to be enlightened! Really… lol. But you know you aren’t.

There is shame and guilt and sadness in your emotions, and often anguish: the fear of being caught.Ultimately you “do” this spirituality stuff to get away from being human. You fail. There is no escape… you are human, with all that comes with that territory.

Back into light… The counter cultural way to become your higher self, no matter where you are.

Living in the three levels of value, the systemic, the extrinsic, and the intrinsic, lived fully, and balanced, is the secret to the good life.

The Indian sages, including the Buddha, skipped the extrinsic. They taught people not to live there. They had a disdain for it.

But work is on the extrinsic level, making money is on that level, so skipping it means living a life of charity. Living a life where you cannot value another person on all levels… because you don’t value the values of that level.

Vibrational reviews: how other people do it

(Bashar,Ramtha,Ashtar Command,Sananda,Neale Donald Walsh,Wayne Dyer,Amma, Sylvia Browne, Sathya Sai Baba, Osho)

OK, I was browsing for other people’s reviews, and found this. It’s pretty good… I will add my vibrational review to it, probably in a different color for you to see what I say and what “she” said… She is the author of this post… Lady Miss Neptune, from NYC, I think.

10 Questionable Gurus and Impostor Entities
Posted on March 17, 2014 by Lady Miss Neptune

There is a stench in the spiritual community becoming more and more apparent as time passes. This stench is coming from the famous and influential names in the community. Those who in recent years have created much fuss over nothing. Those whose teachings are false, deceptive, empty, mundane, regurgitated, and only serve to maintain the status quo, all the while deluding followers into believing they are worshiping a most high-caliber being or following an ultimate form of teaching.

A most important virtue to cultivate is discernment, as we embark on our journeys and pursue our spiritual goals. Discernment is key when it comes to raising our consciousness and making any kind of progress on the spiritual path. Without discernment, finding the presence of falsehood in a teaching of a guru and therefore attaching ourselves to a false guru we encounter can set us back for lifetimes.

Carol Tuttle — more reviews

carol-tuttle-chakras-balancedMindValley is coming out with a new course, by Carol Tuttle. I don’t know Carol Tuttle… but I want to make sure I know how to advise my readers, my students, my clients… should they spend their money and their time with this course.

Of course the course is about making more money. Of course that is the answer to all misery: if you had money you would be happier… bah humbug. You would be just as miserable, with bragging rights.

But apart from that, a core issue, you want to fix your outside, your circumstances, so you can be well on the inside… utterly backwards, I want to be able to see the methodology without having to buy the course myself.
