What is consciousness, really?

not-the-thinkerI am here, waiting for the cable man to fix my internet. It’s been down since yesterday afternoon.

It is hard to remember what we did with our lives before the internet… for me it’s been 18 years. It is hard to figure out what I can do that does not involve the internet… Finally I settle on writing, editing, and such.

It’s 11:30 am. The repairman was scheduled to be here at 11. I am sitting here, uncharacteristically anxious, contemplating that the man won’t even show up, that he will lie, that I will have to be another day without the ability to work.

It’s excruciatingly painful. I am diligently making room for the bad feelings, including them, breathing normally. Then I have a suspicion: is this mine? I normally don’t get anxious: I take life as it comes.

Turns out I tuned into the repairman: it’s his anxiety. Hm.

Stuff I want you to see: The Guru Myth, Its Destructive Power and A Cure.

Sophie’s notes: I do not necessarily agree with a lot what’s written in this article, yet it’s a good piece of writing, and I want you to read it.

I will add some notes when I have time… And some vibrational measurements of the people he mentions… Patience, it’s coming.

The Guru Myth, Its Destructive Power and A Cure. {Now w/Videos!}

The Word and The Myth.

The word “guru” has taken on a life of its own in Western pop culture. The media and advertising talk about “stock gurus,” “marketing gurus,” sports gurus” and on and on – the characterization being someone who has a particular insight into their chosen field and is trusted by others as being able to solve certain problems or provide a highly effective strategy on how to be successful.

We know of course that the word originates in India and simply means “teacher.” In India one’s schoolteacher, dance instructor, parent – really anyone in an authoritative or instructive role might be considered your guru in their particular domain.

But when the word is used in a spiritual context it has a very specific meaning and is located within a very particular Hindu belief system. A guru in this sense is a cut above ordinary human beings. What distinguishes the guru from us mere mortals is that they are “enlightened” or “self-realized.”

Basically the claim is that there are certain very special people who have crossed a very specific threshold in their spiritual awareness – and they know the ultimate truth about the nature of reality.

Worlds Apart: the two basic world views every world view belongs to… Part 1: Dolores Cannon review

dolores cannon beyond abductionI have a funny inner GPS, and yesterday it spoke funny. I was sitting in front of my computer minding my own business. Then I suddenly had this think little voice from inside plead: “Please just tell me what to do… and I’ll do it.”

I sat motionless for a long time. I have never heard a voice from inside me be so meek, so moocher-like, so pleading. Ever. It was so not-like-me, that I considered that it may be real.

I contemplated to write an article about it. But before I’d do it, I decided to run it by my trusted Activate Divinity class, to get a perspective on it. It is like WTF is happening to me?

The class, judging from the silence and the emotional response, was very familiar with the voice and the feeling. This is what they hear all the time. Hm.

I muscle tested and it wasn’t my voice. ((

Lately the Dark Side has become very active, and they broadcast energies of bad feelings almost all day. But in addition, they figured it out (or learned it from me?) they infuse the bad feelings into water. You know that feelings are energies, and energies can be infused in water.

Nowadays when I attempt to energize my water, I get all freaked out. As soon as I get close to the water, I am filled with doom and gloom. It takes me more than 20 minutes to be able to connect to Source strong enough to bring down the Energizer to energize the water.

So, until I figure out something better, I have returned to energize my water in the Energizer Pitchers, just like you. Returning to the beginning, I guess.))

Anyway, later in the day I got an email from a student with a link: “go listen to this interview, she says exactly what you say…” So, uncharacteristically, I did go and did listen to the interview.

Vibrational Review: Dr. Bradley Nelson, The Emotion Code, and the Avatar State Audios… what’s the difference?

The-Emotion-Code-Glory1Revisited: What does the vibration number mean? Why are methodologies that actually help people rate low on the vibrational scale? I’ll compare and review the Dr. Bradley Nelson method, The Emotion Code, and the Avatar State Audios.

I just finished watching a few episodes of the Dr. Bradley Nelson show. Dr. Bradley Nelson is a showman, a great salesperson. I think it’s great: I wish I could be more like him doing the work I do. More people would flock to me.

Now, why is Dr. Bradley Nelson’s vibration as low as 190, occasionally as low as 170? Is he an unhappy person? Is this a case of the shoemaker who doesn’t have shoes?

The answer is no. I see two problems with his methodology that would result in such low vibration.

dr-bradley-nelsonThe problem isn’t as much his well-being, peace of mind, etc. as he isn’t in the business of empowering people. His methodology is to work through practitioners, and this model duplicates the system of the medical establishment, the church, the government.

In his system people are treated for an issue with a method that may work, by a practitioner who was “specially trained” to treat people with that method.

So people need to be sick for those practitioners to exist, which means his system perpetuates disease.

Ode to an exceptional teacher, Robert Plank

Robert Plank and Sophie Benshitta Maven I “met” my business/marketing teacher, Robert Plank, 37 years my junior, red-headed punk programmer genius at the time, in early 2009.

I wanted to learn php programming from him, because I didn’t know what I wanted to do in life, so learning programming sounded like a good idea.

I had been learning marketing, mindset, everything and anything… when you don’t know where you are going, every path takes you there… lol.

I remember being on the first webinar with him. I didn’t know I was an empath and I could feel the tension between the two partners like my own, and I was rooting for Robert. He stammered, he talked to fast, he was eager and loved teaching!

I could not learn anything in the first course, nothing in the second course, ditto the third course, but I was coming back.

Then on the fourth course I could do three out of the 10 assignments, and I knew I found a home.

Doing the assignments is both a capacity issue and a mindset issue.

Vibrational Review: Neale Donald Walsch and his Connect To God teleseminar Series

neale donald walsch connect to god teleseminar series If you want to raise your vibration (raise your vibrational frequency) any modality under 500 is a poor choice. This includes religion, etc. Everything. Under 500… won’t raise your vibration. Under 500 everything is Tree of Knowledge: disconnected from Source

Vibrational Review:
Neil Donald Walsch: 225,
what he teaches: 200
truth value: 195

Eckhard Tolle: 420.
what he teaches: 300
truth value: 230

Debbie Ford: 280
what she teaches: 250
truth value: 250

Neile Donald Walsch…I went on his sales pitch teleseminar last night. 35,000 people registered. It was free.

Walsch had an epiphany some 15 years ago, maybe more, and started to ask questions, and pay attention to the answers.

He wrote numerous, over 10, books, and he is considered a high-priced spiritual teacher.

I listened to his long (too much talk!) lecture and could not follow him. I have spoken with another friend of mine who fell asleep during the presentation.

I have doubts about people who suddenly can connect to Source. Especially if they connected at a time when they desperately needed help.
